Boat Launches

There are several safe sheltered public launches around the lake and there are others that are dependent on wind and water levels. During the spring and into early summer when water levels are at their highest, launches on the north shore of the Township of Oro can be used. These are located at the 2nd line of Oro (Shanty Bay limited parking) and at the 9th line of Oro with good parking facilities. Click on the map link to show all launches and ratings. There is an excellent ramp with ample parking at the port of Orillia and another excellent ramp at the Tiffin St. launch in Barrie. In Beaverton, there is a ramp at the harbor, and over in Georgina Township there is a newly renovated launch at Sibbald Point Provincial Park.
